Our trip to Schwetzingen

This is the Castle in Schwetzingen. It really was the summer residence to the prince elector who actually lived in the Castle here in Heidelberg. The building itself was rather small (and it pretty much has all be redone) but the gardens behind it are huge.
This is a shot from the start of the Gardens behind the Castle. You really cannot see the end of the garden, this part was huge! Through out the yard there are several buildings and rooms used "bringing the social life outside" as our tour guide said.
Another shot, none of these really sum up how huge and beautiful this place was to see. Btu I hope they give a pretty good idea.
Us, obviously!
And Jessica, This was the best shot showing this back part of it so here it is!!

The trip here was fun, the castle gardens were probably the best part the sight is pretty amazing. along side of the garden are two side wings of the castle. One one of the wings there is a theater there the Rokokotheater, and that is where we saw the dress rehearsal of Cosi Fan Tutti. Which turned out to be pretty weird. . . Here in Europe it is such a long tradition of going to the opera that now a days the people are more interested to see modern stage productions of the opera. They do not want to see Cosi in period costumes, like we would back at home. So this performance was really up to date and not really to taste of any of us in the group. That was quite the disapointment, but at least it was a beautiful day in Schwetzingen and we were still able to get out and walk around.

We do not really have any thing huge planned for this week or weekend just classes and practicing. But we have started to plan our trip to Paris and Italy. David has been doing research on what is more cost effective to fly or get a eurorail pass. So many options and it is hard to figure out what is the best deal, and how to figure everything out. It is kind of scary but at least we have a lot of time to get it worked out. So if you have any suggestions please feel free to share!!

Other then that everything is going well!! We hope everyone is well :)
Miss and love you all!

Good luck with all the planning for Paris and Italy...take the train. It's by far such a unique experience!
